Chad is facing multiple displacement situations: several provinces on the east are facing increasing numbers of displaced populations fleeing the Sudanese civil war; the western Lac province is deeply affected by the Lake Chad Basin conflicts; while the southern regions host major displaced populations from Central African Republic.

Lack of assistance and food has become the leading cause of displacement in Chad, while ongoing armed conflict continues to push many people from their homes.
With 2 out of 3 people reporting dangerous areas for women and girls, daily tasks like collecting water, gathering firewood, or working in the fields become risky.
Lack of resources is the main reason children drop out of school in Chad, followed by long distances to reach classrooms. Many schools have also closed because there are not enough teachers.
Pressure on already limited resources makes it harder for communities to live peacefully together, while over half of people with special needs are elderly, living with disabilities, or managing health conditions.
